Dear Maintainer,

I am experiencing random system freezes on my Dell Vostro 3525 (Ryzen 7 5700U).
The system hangs completely for about 1 minute, then recovers.
This happens while using GNOME (Wayland).

Logs from journalctl show amdgpu timeouts:

[ +0.000000] amdgpu 0000:04:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* flip_done timed out
[ +0.000000] amdgpu 0000:04:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* [CRTC:86:crtc-0] commit wait timed out
[ +10.00000] amdgpu 0000:04:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* flip_done timed out
[ +0.000000] amdgpu 0000:04:00.0: [drm] *ERROR* [PLANE:83:plane-7] commit wait timed out

Hardware Info:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700U
- GPU: AMD Lucienne [Integrated]
- Session: GNOME 49.2 on Wayland
- Kernel: 6.17.11+deb14-amd64

I suspect this is a regression in the amdgpu driver interacting with Wayland on this kernel version.

Hi,

As you say this is a regression from a previous kernel, can you do the
bisect to narrow down which commit introduces the behaviour? Do you
need instructions for that?
