Hi,

I tested crystal 1.18.2+dfsg-1 with the build dependencies switched
from lld-19 and llvm-19-dev to lld-21 and llvm-21-dev. The full sbuild
completed successfully on amd64 unstable using the unshare backend.

The build selected LLVM 21 as expected:

  Using /usr/bin/llvm-config-21 [version=21.1.8]

All three test suites passed:

  compiler_spec:   13307 examples, 0 failures, 0 errors, 18 pending
  std_spec:        17563 examples, 0 failures, 0 errors, 33 pending
  primitives_spec:   717 examples, 0 failures, 0 errors, 0 pending

The compiler suite has one more example than the LLVM 19 build because
LLVM 21 enables its conditional 128-bit enumerator test.

The resulting crystal package depends on libllvm21, and readelf shows
that the compiler itself links against libLLVM.so.21.1.

The only issue after the build was that lintian could not be installed
due to a temporary Perl dependency mismatch in unstable. This happened
after all binary packages had been built; sbuild reported the package
build itself as successful.

I have attached the two-line dependency update. It is independent of
the test fix in #1137045, so the two changes can also be applied
together.

We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
crystal, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.

A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is
attached.
