Recently, xkbcomp errors are being reported (see below). These errors
are seen in a variety of places including the systemd journal for
Debian GNOME Unstable and Testing. I am filing this issue as RC
because I also saw this issue with at least the libadwaita-1
autopkgtests. If an autopkgtest does not opt into Restrictions:
allow-stderr, these errors will fail the autopkgtest. Because this
issue already affects Testing, these autopkgtest failures are ignored
since they aren't a regression in the package being tested.
xkbcomp is provided in Debian by x11-xkb-utils, so this is my best
guess as to where the issue is. The latest version of xkbcomp is
1.5.0. Maybe updating to that version would help.
The specific text "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports" is
present in xorg-server and xwayland.
The new keysyms were added to xkb-data after 2.42 and to libxkbcommon
before 1.12.3.
