map2poster is a neat CLI that allows for transformation of city layout
to beautiful posters. This is achieved by querying nominatim, and
translating the OSM data with matplotlib. The result are beautiful
posters that then can be printed.

Multiple styles for the cities are possible.
.
This package will be maintained with the Debian python team; if you want
to help co-maintaining it, let me know.

Hi,

I'd love to help if you want. I checked the upstream repo and it's an
amazing tool.

They still use requirements.txt which is an outdated practice.

Perhaps, we could check whether or not upstream is open to use
pyproject.toml instead.

Great :) I check the python dependencies and there is nothing missing.
There is already a PR upstream doing that; I also opened an issue
upstream asking for a release / tag (with that fix, if possible).

I will be busy for the next month or so, then I can dedicate some time
on it. Hopefully upstream has had a release by then.
