Was watching a video. Put the laptop to sleep. Came back to watch the video and it would not play for more than a second before stopping.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
Restarting the laptop made celluloid play videos again.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Videos played.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
For the video to play without stopping
