Dear Debian zint package maintainer,

A new upstream release of zint (zint 2.16.0) is now available.
Please consider packaging it in Debian as one of the reverse
(build-)dep src:zxing-cpp would need it.

Thanks,
Boyuan Yang

Just a short update on the status of this:

I've updated the packaging and it's available on salsa.

However, d/copyright needs a major overhaul. I've done a first few
steps, but there's quite some work left.

I intend to work on this next week (starting 2026-05-25).

Help is much appreciated, but please ping me on IRC so we coordinate.

Cheers, sur5r
