after updateing my system system and
installing the new headers and runing dkms autoinstall
and then reboot cdemu-daemon now hangs when trying to start it

I suspect this issue was solved with version 3.3.0 which I've recently
uploaded to the Debian archive.

Could you please test if the issue persists with version 3.3.0?  And if
it does, could you please provide a more detailed description of how to
reproduce it?
