Hi,
I realised that the homepage for dov4l vanished (and thus thus uscan
fails to find a new upstream). The last upstream release seems from
nearly 20 years ago, last upload by maintanierc was in 2013.
As far as I know (which is admittedly pretty less thus v4l maintainer
and VDR team in CC) for modern systems you generally replace dov4l with
the v4l tooling stack and higher level frameworks. Please let me know
if it might be worth keeping dov4l in Debian. I would volunteer to
migrate the packaging to Salsa to have at least one source repository
of the code somewhere.
Kind regards
Andreas.
[Robert Luberda = last sponsor of this package in 2013 in CC] Hi, I wonder of some of the vdr experts can raise some opinion about dov4l. Besides what I wrote in the bug report I realise that we have a non-zero popcon usage https://qa.debian.org/popcon-graph.php?packages=dov4l&show_installed=on&show_vote=on&want_legend=on&want_ticks=on&from_date=&to_date=&hlght_date=&date_fmt=%25Y-%25m&beenhere=1 If someone thinks it might make sense inside Debian I think it should at least be maintained inside the Debian VDR Team team (and I volunteer to do the migration). Kind regards Andreas.
Hi, since the upstream page vanished from web and the address of the Debian maintainer bounced in my last attempt (trying again hereby) I decided to orphan the package. You can find the last upload in Git at https://salsa.debian.org/debian/dov4l Kind regards Andreas.
