Description : scientific colormaps for python with only numpy dependency

cmap is a minimal Python library for colormaps and color conversion.
It provides access to common scientific colormaps (like Viridis, Jet, and Magma) without
requiring the heavy Matplotlib dependency.
The library allows converting colormap names into NumPy arrays, supporting interpolation and
normalization. It is designed for high-performance image processing and is a required dependency for imgviz 2.0.0.

Hi,

Python-cmap has intransparent licensing which makes packaging very difficult.
To prevent any licensing errors on my end, upstream has been informed if they
are open to fix their licensing.
