  Upstream Contact: #inputleap-dev on LiberaChat IRC network
* URL             : https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap
* License         : GPL-2 with OpenSSL exception
  Programming Lang: C++
  Description : Share mouse, keyboard and clipboard over the network

 Input-leap lets you easily share a single mouse and keyboard between
 multiple computers with different operating systems, each with its
 own display, without special hardware. It's intended for users
 with multiple computers on their desk since each system uses its
 own display.
 .
 Redirecting the mouse and keyboard is as simple as moving the mouse
 off the edge of your screen. Barrier also merges the clipboards of
 all the systems into one, allowing cut-and-paste between systems.
 .
 Input Leap needs to be installed on all machines that will share
 keyboard and mouse.
 .
 Clipboard sharing is supported (Note: Not currently supported on
 Linux/Wayland).

Upstream states that Barrier is no longer maintained,
so barrier has been dropped out of Debian. See:
https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/barrier

The active developers moved on to InputLeap, so it is a natural
successor for Barrier. See:
https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap/issues/1414.

I still use Barrier but cannot install it easily (with apt) anymore.
So, I'm now trying to package it.

It would be awasome to have it maintained within a team, but since
I'm not proficient in C++, I'd have a hard time integrating.
Co-maintainers or even maintainers are very welcome for the same
reason. And yes, I need a sponsor too.

Subject: RFS: input-leap/3.0.3+ds-1 [ITP] -- Share mouse, keyboard and
clipboard over the network
Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "input-leap":

 * Package name     : input-leap
   Version          : 3.0.3+ds-1
   Upstream contact : #inputleap-dev on LiberaChat IRC network
 * URL              : https://github.com/input-leap/input-leap/wiki
 * License : GPL-2 with OpenSSL exception, FSFAP
 * Vcs              : https://salsa.debian.org/fioddor-guest/input-leap
   Section          : x11

The source builds the following binary packages:

  input-leap - Share mouse, keyboard and clipboard over the network

To access further information about this package, please visit the
following URL:

https://mentors.debian.net/package/input-leap/

Alternatively, you can download the package with 'dget' using this command:

  dget -x https://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/i/input-leap/input-leap_3.0.3+ds-1.dsc

Changes for the initial release:

 input-leap (3.0.3+ds-1) forky; urgency=medium
 .
   * Initial release. (Closes: #1128410)
 .
   * Repack upstream source as +ds to exclude irrelevant files.
 .
   * Skipped test. Xvfb mocking monitors wasn't enough to prevent false
     negatives. See debian/README.source for more details.

This is a follow-up of my ITP for InputLeap.

Last March 1st, I uploaded a new revision addressing the packaging errors
found by Ermakov Alexander (thank you very much if you are reading this) in
the first review. Specifically:

   -

   Fixed the reported packaging error.
   -

   Added lintian overrides for two tags that are currently known false
   positives/tooling bugs in the 4.7.3 transition (details included in the
   override comments).
   -

   Verified the build in a clean chroot.

The package has been sitting on mentors for two weeks now. I have addressed
the previous feedback and I believe the current state is compliant with
Debian Policy 4.7.3.

Could someone please take another look to see if it's ready for upload?

Thank you in advance for your time!
