Changes that may be needed for Debian's build configuration: Source tarballs are now distributed on GitHub: https://github.com/damonlynch/rapid-photo-downloader/releases The Main branch is tagged with the release. The release tarball archive contains the output of the sdist build. Please note that gir1.2-unity-7.0 should be included as a package dependency. Please consult the release notes for changes in the build system. In particular, please note the necessity of creating two new Debian build packages. These new packages are useful to all projects that use the Hatch build system: Hatch-gettext Hatch-argparse-manpage Details are in the release notes. With the Hatch build system these plugins make it easier than before to package this project. Thank you, Damon
You're welcome to use the Ubuntu packaging as a base. gir1.2-gexiv2-0.10 is being removed from Debian so you need to use gir1.2-gexiv2-0.16 instead. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rapid-photo-downloader/0.9.37-0ubuntu6 Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
Hi Jeremy, thanks for pointing me to the Ubuntu package. Is there some usual process when using the Ubuntu packaging in Debian? Do I just copy it over including the Ubuntu package interations, and mention this in a new changelog entry for the Debian upload? Or do I copy the changes since the last Debian upload and consolidate all the Ubuntu changes in this one upload? Regards, Tino
