According to information found on the upstream repository
(https://github.com/n-t-roff/sc) version 7.16-1.1.3 is a fork of the
original sc:

This version is pretty much broken.  Basic features (such as copy and
paste) don't work at all.

I think the old sc version 7.16 should be made available again in
Debian, as version 7.16-1.1.3 is NOT a suitable replacement for version
7.16.
