Dear Maintainer,

The package backintime-qt includes a D-Bus system service named
net.launchpad.backintime.serviceHelper. When the user removes the
package, the service continues running, up until reboot. I believe
removing the package should stop the D-Bus service.

Regards,
Samuel Plavec

Upstream plans to provide a workaround in upcoming 2.0.0.

See upstream PR https://github.com/bit-team/backintime/issues/2581 . It
is merged. Will be released with 2.0.0.
I decided not to backport it to 1.6.2 because of the risk to introduce
new bugs.

The serviceHelper now manages its own lifecycle and terminates itself.
This should solve the reporters problem.

But I see this as a workaround. Maybe there is a more elegant solution
possible with Debian packaging magic.

Feel free to set BTS tags accordingly. I give up with the BTS control
server. ;)
