You did not say, but I assume you mean the repository at the URL specified
in the “Vcs-Browser” field?

That repository is the current repository for Debian packaging of this
package, as specified in Policy §5.6.26. It is certainly used for that
purpose.

Can you better describe, specifically, a problem with this package?
Otherwise I am inclined to close this bug report as unreproducible.
