fractgen-common and fractgen-examples have an undeclared file conflict. This may result in an unpack error from dpkg. The files * /usr/share/fractgen/fractgen_de.qm * /usr/share/fractgen/fractgen_nb.qm * /usr/share/icons/hicolor/512x512/apps/fractgen.png * /usr/share/mime/packages/fractgen.xml are contained in the packages * fractgen * 2.1.13-1+b1 as present in trixie * 2.1.13-1+b2 as present in trixie * fractgen-common/3.0.7-1 as present in forky|unstable The files * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha01.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha02.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha03.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha04.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha05.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha06.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha07.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/alpha08.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta01.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta02.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta03.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta04.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta05.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta06.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta07.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/beta08.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/delta01.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/demo-fractal.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma01.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma02.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma03.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma04.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma05.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma06.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma07.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/gamma08.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/test1.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/test2.fsf * /usr/share/fractgen/examples/test3.fsf are contained in the packages * fractgen * 2.1.13-1+b1 as present in trixie * 2.1.13-1+b2 as present in trixie * fractgen-examples/3.0.7-1 as present in forky|unstable These packages can be unpacked concurrently, because there is no relevant Replaces or Conflicts relation. Attempting to unpack these packages concurrently results in an unpack error from dpkg, because none of the packages installs a diversion for the affected files. Kind regards Helmut Grohne
Hi, Thank you. Could you explain why you use Conflicts here? Usually, moving files between packages should use Breaks+Replaces. Excessive use of Conflicts can make release upgrades fail. Is there a reason that the git tree referenced in Vcs-Git is not updated? Helmut

Hi, Den 20.04.2026 21:04, skrev Helmut Grohne: The latest version 3.0.9 on the montors' server should fix the issues. Breaks+Replaces is already sufficient. I also merged the Multi-Arch statements. I am going to check how to update the repository on https://salsa.debian.org/math-team/fractgen.git. I could create a branch, and then submit a pull request?
