Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
the update manager would not update the zig package and
suggested it was a "real issue", which led me to install the
	reportbug package
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I did not try to fix anything myself, and decided to use
reportbug before attempting to manually correct it
   * What was the outcome of this action?
Me installing reportbug and fumbling through the report process
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
	I didn't expect anything necessarily

I'm not entirely sure what the bug is to be honest.

Here's the timeline of my experience:

1) I boot my computer and see the icon for "updates available" with the
blue dot (not red)
2) sudo apt update
3) 1 update available
4) sudo apt upgrade
5) 1 package: zig : not upgraded
6) *shrug*
7) update icon persists
8) flatpak update
9) update icon persists
10) I click on update icon to see if for some reason there is a GUI feature
in the update manager that I don't know how to reproduce in the terminal
11) Click install all updates in update manager, and get a message saying :

Dependency resolution failed:

The following packages have
unmet dependencies:
zig-stable: Conflicts: zig-0 but 0.15.2-3+trixie is to be installed

12) I click "Report bug to Debian" and it brings me to reportbug
13) I just now realized that the Update Manager error says "IF this looks
like a real issue", and I originally thought it said "THIS looks like a
real issue". I apologize for bringing it up, the only reason zig is
installed on my system is from installing Ghostty terminal. There are no
apparent issues other than a dependency resolution that I can see, and the
only annoying effect is that the "updates available" icon persists even
though attempting to update brings up the error.

Hi!

It does not look like zig was ever packaged properly in Debian. So I'm
assumed you got it from a third-party. You'll have to get that third
party to update any such package. Thus closing.

Thanks,
Guillem
