#1134354 atril fails to render Handcrafted/GradientStops.xps and Handcrafted/ResourceDictionary.xps from the Microsoft XPS-samples archive properly

Grab the archive http://web.archive.org/web/20100911214740/http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/6/a/16acc601-1b7a-42ad-8d4e-4f0aa156ec3e/SampleXpsDocuments_1_0.exe and extract Handcrafted/GradientStops.xps and Handcrafted/ResourceDictionary.xps from there. Run atril on these two files from an xterm. Observe that in GradientStrop.xps, only the explaining text but no graphical content is rendered (whereas it should be rendered; run MuPDF on this file), and that the two pages of ResourceDictionary.xps are rendered differently, whereas they should be rendered the same. The two files and a screenshot are attached. The following is printed on the console:
