The free, open source Python module markdown-pdf will create a PDF file
from your markdown content.

Compared to calling pandoc via subprocess, markdown-pdf is much faster
in generating a pdf from markdown.

I'm planning to maintain the package under the Python Team umbrella. I
will need a sponsor for this package.

Hi!

This has a pretty generic name, but it is a Python specific
implementation. Please namespace both source and binary packages to
avoid taking over the global namespace.
