shutter appears to be the only package in Debian that depends on
libnet-dbus-glib-perl, which is a Perl binding for the unmaintained
library dbus-glib (see #895291).
It would be useful if its D-Bus functionality could be converted to some
more modern implementation: perhaps GLib's GDBus, via GObject-Introspection.
(If I'm reading correctly, perhaps it is only used to communicate with
compiz and temporarily disable focus-stealing prevention? Or perhaps
shutter doesn't even need libnet-dbus-glib-perl at all, only
libnet-dbus-perl?)
Thanks,
smcv
