As reported to me by Mechtilde during DebCamp Hamburg 2026:

The translation of the string 'Choose a Debian Blend for installation' is not
added to the .po files, and is therefore shown of all languages.

That string is indeed translatable, but in another way as you think:

That string is the long package description of the 'task-blendsel' package.
So, if you want to have that string translated for your language, you will need to participate to the DDTP [1].

This is not new, by the way.
It's the same system as for all the other tasks, except standard and ssh-server.
