Dear Maintainer, The following issue arose since upgrading to Debian 13 from 11... Have a laptop with the lid closed, in suspend/sleep mode. Upon opening the lid, sometimes the contents of the desktop flash on the screen for a second, then the screen locks. This can reveal secure information to attackers. I recorded a video of it happening. Note the lid LED blinking prior to opening the lid, which indicates the laptop is in suspend/sleep mode. https://www.analysisandsolutions.com/int/debian-13-laptop-wake-reveals- desktop.mp4 Thank you.
Control: tag -1 moreinfo Is this on GNOME (I think that's what I see in the video) or some other desktop environment? Ben.
Hi Ben: Yes, GNOME desktop. Should I file the bug there instead? Thank you,
Hi, Maybe this then is rather an issue in src:gdm3, but not completely sure so will leave this to Ben for further looking. Regards, Salvatore
Control: reassign -1 gnome-shell There is no need to open a new report; I am reassigning this one. Ben.
