I'am using an 64bit-based UEFI ( AMD ) system.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Since I cannot run Invaders with SecureBoot enabled, I disabled SecureBoot
altogether.
Then I was almost able to play Invaders, except for I have no graphics at
all !
Keyboard Okay, sound also ; but still no graphics at all !!!

* What was the outcome of this action?
Invaders unusable on my platform, while still executing.

* What outcome did you expect instead?
Graphics would happen and the game being truely playable.

Hi Valentin,

indeed, grub-invaders heavily relies on an actual hardware BIOS and is
entirely useless on an EFI system with merely an emulated BIOS. That's
why I had it removed from Debian after the latest Stable release:
