Dear Maintainer,

system doesn't suspend anymore on lid close.
System suspend still works normally when I explicitly launch it from menu.
/proc/acpi/button/lid/LID/state changes correctly on lid close and open events.
evtest does not report lid close/open event.
Same problem on linux-image-7.0.4+deb14-amd64, no problems on linux 6 series.

hello,
just booting an older kernel but not changing any other components fixes
the issue for you?

If yes: Can you please bisect the newest kernel that still behaves good
and the oldest that is broken in that regard? Doing that for packaged
kernels from snapshot.debian.org is a good first step, but ideally
bisecting the upstream kernel would be great.

If you need more detailed instructions for that, please tell me.

Best regards
Uwe
