Upstream 9.08.1 is available, I've done a preliminary update in
https://salsa.debian.org/bap/electric
on the master branch, with the upstream and pristine-tar branches
updated to the new upstream tarball. I also make a merge request on
salsa against the main packaging repo.

Seems to work okay on my machine, although like with 9.07 the fonts
are teeny tiny on a modern hires monitor.

(I am already listed as an uploader, but I don't have write access to
the main packaging repo, BTW.)

I'm not really a Java person (which is odd because historically blah
blah blah ... but so it goes.)
So I don't feel confident about this having been done “right”.

The reason I'm an uploader is I helped get electric into Debian a long
time ago because I'm an old friend of the upstream author.
And the packaging of the latest version *seems* to work.
But I'd really appreciate it if another set of eyes could take a look.

Anyway, I pushed this stuff to java-team/electric master/upstream/pristine-tar
and I hope someone who *is* an actual Java person will take a look,
and either whine to me about issues, or fix issues and upload, or just upload.
But if nobody does I'll go ahead and upload at some point.
