Dear Maintainer,

Please find the updated Romanian po file translation for
dpkg-program attached.

It should be put as "po/ro.po" in your package build tree.

If you update your template, please contact me so I can update the
Romanian translation; or, if you prefer, contact the Debian Romanian
mailing list <debian-l10n-romanian@lists.debian.org> for this purpose.

Hi!

Thanks for the update, I've queued it locally and will be included in my
next push.

BTW it would be helpful if you could mark msgids that are unclear, wrong
or that could be improved in the .po file with either an XXX or FIXME
comment in English to make it easier to spot.

Some of them I agree need a rewording, and were like this before my
time, some I might have introduced where being non-native might not
always help. :)

I've done already an update and unification pass over all strings, and
have some pending commits to push, so I hope the situation will improve
with the next upstream release, but for anything remaining I'd appreciate
being told (either with the above mentioned comments or with bug reports).

No problem!

Thanks,
Guillem

Ok, I'll leave comments with the things that seem off to me.

Unfortunately, when taking over an old project, the new person in charge
is “to blame” both for the old mistakes/errors made by others and for
the new ones he or she introduces.

This intention and effort to fix old errors/mistakes (and possibly some
not-so-old ones) is to be appreciated.
In my future "bug-wishlists", I will mention the presence (if any) of
these comments in the attached ro.po file.

Tks! What is the current status of the fix for bug #1139332, which
contains
the updated translation of “dselect”?

Hi!

Ah, thanks for insisting! I assumed I had already dealt with that at the
time, but re-checking now noticed I never saw it because as you mentioned
(which I thought you were referring to text in the translation, and not
in the bug metadata) was filed against deselect instead of dselect. I've
reassigned the report and have queued the update as well for inclusion.

Thanks,
Guillem

Ok, thanks!; in this case bug #1139332 should also be marked as pending
😉
