Dear Maintainer, I am not sure about other terminals, but I have run into a reproducible problem in foot 1.27.0-1 from debian after using mutt. Steps to reproduce: * Open foot * Word navigation using alt-f and alt-b is usable within the bash shell * Open mutt * Quit mutt * alt-f and alt-b are no longer usable. These commands now insert æ and â characters. It seems that mutt is altering some terminal tty state - I'm not sure of the details. This bug can be worked around by using `reset`.
This is an upstream bug in mutt. See issue here: https://gitlab.com/muttmua/mutt/-/work_items/528
