Dear maintainer:

During a rebuild of all packages in unstable, this package failed to build.

Below you will find the last part of the build log (probably the most
relevant part, but not necessarily). If required, the full build log
is available here:

https://people.debian.org/~sanvila/build-logs/202606/

About the archive rebuild: The build was made on virtual machines from AWS,
using sbuild and a reduced chroot with only build-essential packages.

If you cannot reproduce the bug please contact me privately, as I
am willing to provide ssh access to a virtual machine where the bug is
fully reproducible.

If this is really a bug in one of the build-depends, please use
reassign and add an affects on src:deal.ii, so that this is still
visible in the BTS web page for this package.

Thanks.

It seems that "mold" is causing this issue. When switching back to the
normal linker, the package builds.

I'm cloning this bug and assign the cloned one to mold,
The fix for deal.ii will be to drop the B-D on mold for the moment.

Hi Tobi,
just an FYI on this. I am not very much involved in this package, except for
having made a couple of uploads when it was blocking the migration of other
packages.

We have had this mold "dance" already in the recent past.
First, 9.6.2-2 added it, and 9.7.1-2 removed it.
Afterwards, 9.7.1-3 added it back, and 9.7.1-7 (latest) removed it again.

Just leaving this written here for posterity in case there is a third round ;)

Cheers,
Francesco
