org-contacts allows users to manage contacts information directly within
Org mode. You can record contact info, search with the `org-contacts`
command, use it as a contacts database backend for email address
completion (including for Notmuch), export contacts to a vCard file, and
put birthdays directly into the Org Agenda.

Historically, this package was part of the monolithic `org-contrib`
repository, but it is now maintained as a standalone project. Like
org-transclusion and org-remark, it is officially available on GNU ELPA,
indicating it complies with FSF copyright assignments and is ready for
Debian inclusion.
