* Package name : openlock-browser Version : 0.1.0 (pre-release) Upstream Contact: Shifat Islam Santo <shifatislamsanto764@gmail.com> * URL : https://github.com/oneKn8/openlock_browser/ * License : MPL-2.0 Programming Lang: C++ Description : OpenLock Exam and Kiosk-Mode Web Browser OpenLock is a secure, kiosk-mode browser that provides the same lockdown guarantees as Respondus LockDown Browser and Safe Exam Browser (SEB) -- built natively for Linux. It lets students on Linux take proctored exams without dual-booting into Windows or macOS. . Most universities require Respondus or SEB for proctored exams. Neither supports Linux. Students running Linux are forced to dual-boot, use a VM (which gets detected and blocked), or borrow a different machine. . OpenLock fixes this by implementing the SEB open protocol directly, generating valid Browser Exam Keys and Config Key hashes so LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) accept connections as if they came from an official SEB client. . This package will be maintained under the umbrella of the Debian Edu Packaging Team.
