someone proposed testing the program, to see if it function on devuan 6.0

program function, since it is in the repos.


forum newbie proposed installing 3 additional packages, which amended the
situation.


qml6-module-qtquick-window
qml6-module-qtquick-controls
qml6-module-qtquick-effects

the first two are readily available in debian and ubuntu distribution eg.
debian 13, devuan 6 or linux mint 22.3

the third one, crucial for restoring operativity of "photoqt", is present in
debian/devuan but absent in ubuntu linux mint flavor, hence program not
starting.

I am closing this bug report against Debian since you do not seem to be
running Debian but Ubuntu (or a Devuan/Ubuntu mixture).

Hello ,

it is with Devuan 6.0 based on Debian;
is is with Linux Mint 22.3 based on Ubuntu based on Debian;

it has been brought to my attention that with version 4.8.1 the issue is
still present, so i guess it has to do with Debian after all.

Please forgive me should there be any inaccuracies in the report.
