Hello Thijs,

I would be interested in helping with simplesamlphp, following the
Package Salvaging procedure [1]. Here is a list of the criteria I
believe apply for the salvaging process:

  - Bug #108816 left unaddressed, leading to simplesamlphp's exclusion
    from trixie.
  - Several upstream versions released which have not been packaged.
  - Recent NMU + team upload fixing CVE-2025-27773.

Hi Nikolas,

Please feel free to salvage the package. The blocker was that the 2.x
series required serious overhaul of the packaging. But of course, if you
can do that, all the better.
