Hi Don,

there's quite a few newer upstream releases of perltidy available,
please consider updating the package.

I'm specifically interested in the 'Possible attempt to escape whitespace'
warning fix in https://github.com/perltidy/perltidy/pull/191 (perltidy
20250912), as the warning is causing me some grief with testing Perl
5.44.0 release candidates. Any version with that fix would be fine by me.

Perl 5.44 has been in experimental for a while now, and the warning is
making at least these packages fail to build with it:

So this is a blocker for getting Perl 5.44 into sid and forky.
I'm raising the severity accordingly.

If you want to test changes against Perl 5.44 in experimental and run
into uninstallability problems, there is a test repository of rebuilt
Debian sid packages for amd64 available at <https://perl.debian.net/>.
