Netatalk Client is a suite of tools and libraries for AFP (Apple Filing
Protocol) which allows you to connect to and transfer files from remote
servers.

It contains a TUI client (afpcmd), a FUSE client with controller daemon
(afp_client, afpfsd), two shared libraries and a companion "Stateless"
controller daemon (libafpclient, libafpsl, afpfsd), and a diagnostic
tool (getafpstatus).

Netatalk Client is a comprehensively overhauled fork of an older
project, afpfs-ng, which has been abandon
ed since 2009. It is positioned
as a companion to the Netatalk AFP server, but also aims for a high
level of AFP specification compliance and interoperability with any AFP
server including personal file sharing on older Mac OS X systems,
AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule NAS devices.

I intend to maintain this package under the umbrella of the Debian
Netatalk team.

Hello!

Could this issue be re-titled? The current title violates format
"(ITA|ITP|O|RFA|RFH|RFP): package -- description" and as a result the
issue cannot be auto-imported to https://wnpp.debian.net/ . A confirming
title would be e.g. "RFP: netatalk-client -- AFP client suite and
libraries". It would be cool if that could be fixed — thank you!
