Dear Maintainer,

I am trying to upgrade c-evo-dh packaging using upstream version 3.3 and to
compile with GTK3 and I faced linking issue. As I am not familiar with Lazarus
ecosystem, I may be wrong and so fill free to close this report in case.

Regards,
Patrice

Do you have libgtk-3-dev installed ?

Might be worth while posting the linker error message.

Yes, that’s the solution I found. But I still find this dependency strange.
Sorry for the trouble if this is just noise.

Hi Patrice,

as far as c-evo-dh is concerned, so far,
I have only found it to work properly on Linux with GTK2.

I have current (GTK2) versions of c-evo-dh available on the OBS
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:PeterBBB/c-evo

The versions built for Debian 13 (Trixie) should run OK in Forky/Sid.

Cheers,
Peter

possible to build for any QT5,
QT6, GTK2 or GTK3 using small patch sets.

In Forky/Sid there is only lcl-gtk3 and lcl-qt5, and finally it
builds fine with the two.

With Qt5, at least, the program starts normally, but I haven't taken
the testing any further.

But with GTK3 I am facing runtime errors:
