After upgrading from 7.0.4 to 7.1.3 I can no longer suspend or reboot my laptop
without it going into a faulty power state (displays off, LEDs indicate power
on, not responding to anything, needs hard reset). No kernel panic. No SysRq.
Kernel 7.0.4 and older:
- suspend works
- reboot works
- all pm_test variants successfully completed
Kernel 7.1.3:
- suspend freezes
- reboot freezes
- pm_test devices successful
- pm_test platform freezes (echo platform > /sys/power/pm_test) after 2 seconds
during which it seems like normal standby-preparation
Last kernel message:
No further log output. And nothing of interest before.
The following message is NOT reached with 7.1.3 (but with 7.0.4):
#939606, #1125980, #1134908.
Downgrading to kernel 7.0.4 solved the issue for now.
I didn't test the versions between (yet).
