Dear Maintainer,

Sorry, this is probably a terrible bug report, but I figured that I
should let you know that I have had intermittent glitches with xterm
for a while now. It forces me to use a different x-terminal-emulator,
as I can't trust what is on the screen. Feel free to reject the bug
report if it provides no value. Happy to provide any additional debug
info. I reviewed both 463784 and 1014625 but I can't tell if it's the
same issue. It seems scroll related.

I observe the issue most often when I try to compose a message with mutt
+ nvim, and when I press enter, the following line is duplicated each
time. The glitches are cleared on the screen with ctrl-l but the issue
persist. I have also seen it with nvim editing a text file. I have
eliminated mutt, nvim, and tmux. I have seen it with both vim and nvim.
I also seen it a strange scroll behavior half way down the screen.

If I open a 2nd xterm when I see the issue, it too, will exhibit the
same issue, as will closing and retrying. Then I installed alacritty,
and when I started it, the glitches in xterm disappeared.

I have been on the same hardware for years, NVIDIA Corporation GM206GLM
[Quadro M2200 Mobile], and been tracking the stable driver.

The description seems familiar, as if I'd fixed this, but reading my
change notes, don't see something to associate it. So I don't know.
