Hello,

This package encapsulates command line tools in the readline library to
resume simply.

Could it be possible to update it to 0.48 (at least observed on x86_64).
The Debian (and derived) versions are very buggy.

rlwrap would mess up history when compiled with readline-8.3
--filter 'filter_commandline $with <shell_metachars' would not find filters
in $RLWRAP_FILTERDIR
rlwrap would not always honour show-mode-in-prompt
make pipeline filter find filters in $RLWRAP_FILTERDIR
