The kmscube package uses very old Git snapshot (from 2021). Since that
time the upstream kmscube got several features e.g. support for the
offscreen rendering on the render nodes, without actual screen output,
which is important for testing the headless units.

Please package more recent Git snapshot.

We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
kmscube, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
