Hi,

The kicad project, after making a stable release, create a tag on the
development branch that uses the same syntax as the normal release tags,
but with a minor number of 99, so that "git describe" finds this tag when
generating a version number.

The watch file in the kicad package just converts this to a zero, so it
sorts same as the last stable release. That is reasonably safe, because the
download is then done with the correct tag name, but it's not really clean.

It would be good to have explicit syntax to reject a version.

Possible options would be to either have an additional pattern match, or a
mangle substitution that generates a forbidden string.
