I have two monitors here, and they both have been previously supported
"okayish" in gddcontrol. It has shown the usual note about unknown
monitor model and that it would use only the basic generic profile,
which is fine.

However, now the controls are only shown for one of them (Gigabyte, at
dev:/dev/i2c-9 ), but for the other one (ACER, at dev:/dev/i2c-8) the
controls are not visible, i.e. the control area remains empty and there
is only some "please click at the group name" message. And pushing both
refresh buttons does not change anything.

But DDC functionality itself should be okay. I still have a couple of
scripts which modify the brightness with ddccontrol and it works just
fine, also a Windows tool which I use works fine.

I will attach the monitor capability dump, made as suggested by the
model database message.
