GNU Zile version 2.6.4 was released in March, 2025:

We can package this new version for Debian.

Upstream maintainer here. Zile 2.6.3 contained no code changes, and I don't
believe its build system improvements affect Debian.

Zile 2.6.4 contained  fixes for writing files >2GB. This is unlikely to
affect many (any?) users; in other words, I don't regard it as important in
practice, but it is important in theory.

Of course, there's an advantage in keeping up with upstream, just so users
don't wonder what they're missing!
