Package: linux-image-amd64
Status: hold ok unpacked
Priority: optional
Section: kernel
Installed-Size: 13
Maintainer: Debian Kernel Team <debian-kernel@lists.debian.org>
Architecture: amd64
Source: linux-signed-amd64 (6.12.100+1)
Version: 6.12.100-1
Config-Version: 6.12.96-1
Provides: linux-image-generic,
linux-latest-modules-6.12.100+deb13-amd64, virtualbox-guest-modules,
wireguard-modules (= 1.0.0)
Depends: linux-image-6.12.100+deb13-amd64 (= 6.12.100-1)

if one installs the following, the installation fails:

linux-image-6.12.100+deb13-amd64
linux-image-amd64
linux-headers-6.12.100+deb13-amd64
linux-headers-amd64

on a system, where you also need  (during kernel installtion):
Autoinstall of module nvidia/580.119.02 for kernel 6.12.100+deb13-amd64
(x86_64)

You need to have the header in place before you install the kernel.

Even " apt --fix-broken install" does not help, the sequence of headers
first then kernel seems important.

make.log for nvidia module attached

Hi Markus,

The build of the OOT modules fails (those are neither the one packaged
in Debian afaics from the version), so you will need to look up from
NVIDIA third party repository if they provide updates packages to cope
wih changes with newer kernels.

Hope this helps,

Regards,
