Dear maintainer
the current rhythmbox from unstable dosn't play any files/streams. I
have tested flac and internet radio. Should not enter testing in the
current state (at least I think so).

log (flac playback):
apt policy rhythmbox
rhythmbox:
  Installed: 3.5.0-1
  Candidate: 3.5.0-1

Going back to 3.4 fixes the problem (nothing else changed)

I am unable to duplicate the bug you reported. rhythmbox 3.5.0 works
for me in Debian Testing and in Debian Unstable. I successfully played
an mp3 and an included Internet Radio channel: Studio Brussel.

I suggest trying if Rhythmbox works if you disable plugins in Preferences.

Thank you,
Jeremy Bícha

Ok:

You're right: ReplaGain triggers the error.
My settings:
'RG mode Album
PreAmp -5
Apply Compression off'

Bummer. As far as I understand it's an inbuild plugin. Is there a
solution?

Thank you,
Marc

is installed by default but not enabled by default.

You might get a faster fix if you report the issue upstream:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/rhythmbox/-/work_items

If you do report it there, please reply here with the link to the
upstream issue.

I wasn't able to attach the log so I linked to here.
I also tested the flathub version. It has the same regression.

I have tested it and it works with rhythmbox 3.5.0
