I start senpai with the .desktop entry. I have it as a favorite in my
GNOME dash (or whatever the thing on the bottom of the screen is
called). I would click on the icon, wait for senpai to start and
connect, then maximize the window, and the UI would adjust to the larger
terminal.

This no longer works for me as of senpai 0.5.0-3. When I maximize the
window, the UI stays small as if the window was still 80x24, and all the
rest of the terminal is left blank.

Downgrading to 0.5.0-2 (by first downloading the binary from
snapshots with debsnap) fixes the issue for me. You can check the
attached screenshots.

I have confirmed the behavior. The issue here is that the patch that
updates vaxis to 0.17.1 did not handle resizing properly.

This has been fixed upstream [1]. I'll import the updated patch and do
some more testing before uploading.
