  This package provides a Python backend which makes Bluetooth Low Energy
  advertisements received by an SMLIGHT SLZB network proxy available to Bleak.
  It integrates the remote scanner with habluetooth, allowing applications such

  The SLZB proxy forwards advertisements to the host over UDP, where pysmlight
  handles the wire protocol and this library manages the scanner connection and
  advertisement delivery. The proxy is scan-only, so devices can be discovered
  but GATT connections are not supported.

This library is a dependancy of Home Assistant, the Python smart home platform.
I plan to maintain it as part of the Home Assistant team.

We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
python-bleak-smlight, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.
