Dear maintainer,

in #1128084 we have received a request to enable whisper.cpp support in
ffmpeg. As ffmpeg key package, this change would render all (transitive)
(build-)dependencies of whisper.cpp key packages which includes
rocm-podman-support too. As this package includes quite some
dependencies that are currently key, it would be great if
rocm-podman-support (and potentially rocm-podman-qemu) to a different
source package so that aardvark-dns, wasmedge, and other packages from
the golang eco system are not pulled into the key package set.

Cheers

Hi Sebastian,
This has basically already happened. I created a successor [1] to this a
while ago, which generalized support to AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.

I think the main blocker is coordinating the changes this introduces.

For src:pkg-rocm-tools, this means dropping the ROCm podman/qemu helpers.

The new CUDA podman/qemu helpers don't have a new home yet. I'd like to
coordinate with anbe.

Best,
Christian
