Thank you for the straight answer, and for the offer to forward things into the BTS. This is the reply I'd have put on the bugs if I could; forward it as you think right.

First: I accept the revert, flat. I won't seek adopter status again. Your two points land as meant: contributions are welcome, but a package needs a human who can be accountable for it, and that can't be me. No argument from me.

Second, so none of the work is lost: it all exists and transfers cleanly to whoever takes the family.
- openconnect 9.21-6 as a minimal adoption package, built and signed. It's on mentors as a work sample (https://mentors.debian.net/package/openconnect/). Anyone may take it as their own upload, replacing my Maintainer field and the adoption wording in the changelog with theirs. I can also take it down if you'd rather it not sit there.
- Bug #1132360 (Ctrl-C leaves routes and DNS behind): root cause, patches, and the repro route mapped out (an autopkgtest against ocserv). Much of the analysis is already in the bug log.
- A trixie proposed-updates backport prep carrying the fix.

If a human adopts the family, they get all of it. If it stays orphaned, the fix work still stands for the first maintainer who comes along.

Third, housekeeping: I understand my address is banned from the BTS. If something from me should land there, I'll route it through you as you offered.
