It's still failing to build with python 3.15 [1]. This is because it's missing these lines (or something equivalent): #if PY_VERSION_HEX >= 0x030f0000 && defined(Py_LIMITED_API) && Py_LIMITED_API < 0x030d0000 extern "C" PyAPI_FUNC(int) PyWeakref_GetRef(PyObject *ref, PyObject **pobj); #endif This is needed because PyWeakref_GetRef was added to the Py_LIMITED_API in Python 3.13, and this variable is set based on the Python version mentioned in the pyproject.toml file: requires-python = ">=3.10" The proposed patch would work in Debian but to be honest it wouldn't be completely correct, as the abi3 file would be declaring that it works with 3.10 but it only actually works with 3.13. Another option would be to move the requires-python version to 3.13. Or to define the PyWeakref_GetRef function for that case. I tried to find the upstream repo to look for the commits (and check if this had been fixed as well), but unfortunately it seems it's not public, or at least very hard to find. I've applied these fixes in the sandbox [2] to verify that it builds successfully, these should be applied in Debian to get the package back to a healthy state.
