Dear Maintainer,

Opening an new Spreadsheet and typing text in it (default font color Black
#000000), the text shows white on white and is not visible.
Upon darkening the color e.g. to #000001, the font shows.
This makes working with the Spreadsheet for parametric modeling extremely
annoying / cumbersome.

It is known upstream: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/issues/16950
It would be appreciated if stable/backports got patched / updated early when
the issue is fixed.

Best regards,

Tjeerd

Hi Tjeerd,

the upstream bug seems to indicate that Themes might play a role.
I can see the effect only (on GNOME) when switching to the FreeCAD Dark theme,
when using the FreeCAD Classic or FreeCAD Light theme everything seems
to be fine.

Dear Toby,

thanks for the hint (it might help others too).

I also saw that on upstream and I switched to the Light theme, since it
was present in the Classic theme on my system.

That is also interesting, with me it is present in a different theme
than with you, so it may have to do with other settings on the desktop
environment (color schemes?) maybe?

Best regards,

Tjeerd
