(To get to this point I needed to explicitly install
‘python3-pkg-resources’ as a workaround for bug#1145125.)

The installed Python library ‘click_man’ attempts to import from the
package ‘distutils’ but that Python package is not installed.

This is because the ‘python3-click-man’ Debian binary package fails to
declare a dependency on ‘python3-setuptools’.

We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of
click-man, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive.

A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is
attached.
